ObjectiveThe use of viagra has been associated with an increase in erectile function. To date, there is no adequate study to support the use of viagra in men with erectile dysfunction. In this study, we aimed to determine whether the use of viagra has an effect on erectile function.
MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed to investigate the effects of viagra on erectile function. A total of 514 men aged 18 to 59 years with erectile dysfunction and an intact penile tissue were included in this study. The patients were followed up at the First Hospital of the First University of Toronto. The patients were treated with sildenafil (100 mg, 120 mg, or 120 mg) on average from March 2012 to December 2012. Viagra (Viagra) (sildenafil) was administered according to the study protocol, and it was started at a dose of 25 mg sildenafil, and the duration of treatment was 20 mg sildenafil. After 1 week, the patients were instructed to stop the use of sildenafil and to complete their course of sildenafil. The patients' erections were assessed using the Penile Spontaneity Test (PSTT) and the Sexual Encounter Profile (SEP).
ResultsViagra was shown to be associated with an increase in erectile function after 30 weeks in patients with ED (p<0.05) and a mean increase in the mean erectile function of 7.8 (SD 5.4) s.u., compared with a decrease of 4.3 (SD 3.9) s.u. (p<0.05). The mean increase in the mean erectile function of sildenafil was significantly higher in patients who had erectile dysfunction (p<0.001) and had sildenafil taken before the treatment with Viagra (p<0.01).
ConclusionsViagra had an effect on erectile function in patients with ED, and therefore, the use of sildenafil may be associated with an increase in the incidence of erectile dysfunction.

The use of sildenafil and tadalafil in erectile dysfunction (ED) has been associated with an increased incidence of adverse events, including priapism, and the use of Viagra is associated with a decrease in the incidence of priapism, which is a more common and serious side effect. However, the effects of sildenafil on erectile function have not been well established.
In this study, we investigated the effects of sildenafil on erectile function in men with ED. We compared the effects of sildenafil on erectile function in men with ED and the changes in the mean erectile function of sildenafil. We also evaluated the effects of Viagra on erectile function in men with ED, and the effects of Viagra on sildenafil and sildenafil-related erectile dysfunction.
As Pfizer’s erectile dysfunction drug Viagra went off patent in the US in May, its maker has launched a new form of Viagra, one of its biggest selling products. Viagra, the company says, was the first drug to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sale on the internet and sold on the shelves in the US.
The new drug will be sold as a generic version of Pfizer’s erectile dysfunction drug, known as sildenafil citrate, or the generic version of Viagra, which Pfizer said would be sold under the brand name Revatio, and as Revatio-C, which will become the branded drug, Pfizer said.
Viagra, the world’s most prescribed erectile dysfunction medication, has a significant impact on the lives of men, who struggle to get and maintain an erection. According to the US health-care information company, the impact is expected to be felt by around 80 percent of men as a result of the introduction of Viagra and Revatio, which are used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
“We look forward to the opportunity to introduce Viagra as a new form of erectile dysfunction medication,” said Dr. Andrew W. Chan, the chief executive officer of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. “Our product portfolio includes Viagra-type drugs and Revatio-type drugs.”
The new Viagra-type drugs, which are called PDE5 inhibitors, are designed to relax the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow and firmness during sexual stimulation. They work by enhancing blood flow to the penis, which makes it easier to achieve an erection.
“We are pleased to introduce Viagra-type drugs as a potential treatment for men with ED,” said Dr. Chan. “These drugs are an important first-line therapy for men who cannot achieve an erection but are looking for a more active and satisfying sexual life.”
Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, however, is not the only pharmaceutical company that has recently launched a generic form of Viagra. US pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca’s erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and Revatio-C for the treatment of ED, called Revatio-C, has been making its way through the FDA since early November 2023.
“We are pleased to welcome Pfizer to our world-class global sales and distribution platform,” said John L. LaFave, Pfizer’s vice president of research and development, in a conference call. “We are pleased to launch this product to our customers worldwide.”
In the US, Pfizer, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc., is the company that developed the drug. The company is the largest pharma and health-care company in the world and has more than 800,000 employees worldwide. The US company that produces and sells the drug for consumers worldwide is AstraZeneca.
“We are excited to bring this product to market to help millions of men in the US and around the world,” said Dr. “Pfizer has established strong relationships with a number of healthcare companies, including AstraZeneca, that are actively involved in the development and commercialization of prescription drugs.”
This is the second year the company has been able to launch Viagra, after Eli Lilly and Company launched its erectile dysfunction drug Levitra in January. In November, the company also launched its new drug, called Cialis for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is a condition that affects millions of men worldwide.
The drug, called tadalafil, is the generic version of Lilly’s Cialis product. Pfizer, which makes Viagra, is the company that owns the patent on the brand name, which was acquired by Eli Lilly in the US in 2003.
Viagra is the second-most-prescribed drug in the US, behind Cialis, which is the only drug approved by the FDA for that purpose. The second-most-prescribed drug in the US in November was, which is the drug that was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in February. The drug is the third-most-prescribed drug in the US, behind Cialis.
